The 2015 World Trail- Running Championships will take place in Annecy, within the bounds of the Maxi Race.
After the 2013 Trail-Running Championships in Wales which was controversial for several reasons ( late announcement, event in run in laps…), the early choice of an authentic and popular trail will have the main aim of strengthening the credibility of this event and to favour the meeting of the best international athletes. It will also be the opportunity for a big festival of trail-running where each and every runner will have the chance to run alongside some of the best trail-runners in the world.
The ITRA presented and supported this application to the IAU, the organiser of the World championships of Trail-running under the aegis of the IAAF, and congratulates them on this decision.
