Races of the week - April 26 - May 1

Each week, ITRA proposes to discover trail-running races from around the worl. This week, we are going to travel from France to Spain, but also Italy. The world is trail !

Beaujolais Trail Villages / France

Welcome to the Beaujolais ! Sometimes caricatured by his side wine, Beaujolais is none the less provided a true "dirt trail-running" with perfect conditions for the practice of the discipline.

Not less than ten races are offered to runners. Experienced runners, beginners or young, everyone will find the race corresponding to his level to discover the Beaujolais. The participants will have the chance to experience a unique architectural heritage, through the majestic forests of Douglas, but also the vineyards of Beaujolais.

About the organiaztion, the organizers have chosen to offer refreshments totally BIO. Even runners "gluten free" can fully enjoy the refreshments.

About the race, the local ultra-traileur, François D'Haene, will be at the partner village and will take part in the relay event. For sure it'll be a beautiful trail-running festival !

Trail Nivolet Revard / France

The 14th edition of the Trail Nivolet Revard offers runners to discover the Savoy with four races between the lakes and local mountains. From Voglans, a charming Savoyard village near Lake Bourget, the races will take riders to the summit of Mont Revard, which dominates the Chambéry area and offers sublime views over the lake.

As a famous regional race, the Trail Nivolet Revard still count this year more than 1500 participants, with regional and national elite runners on the start line. The best way to discover the Savoy trails !

Elba Trail / Italy

The Elba Trail is a trail-running race taking on the island of Elba, the largest island of the Tuscan Archipelago, Italy. It is the first step of the "Salomon Trail Tour Italia". 300 runners are expected on the 45 Km, while 200 are expected to start the 21 Km.

The Elba Trail invites runners to complete a race around the main summit of the island, the Monte Capanne. The runners will run in singles, forest tracks, and to reach the summit of Monte Capanne, they must cross a short via ferrata. A very technical course with the Calanche and Monte Giove. At the top of the mountains, the view of the Tuscan Archipelago and other islands will be a present after the efforts of the runners!

101 Km Peregrinos / Spain

The 101 Km of Peregrinos is a major sporting event for anyone who wants to test his personal limits beyond the barrier of 100 km. If the clock can be an obejctif for some riders, the race is more an endurance challenge for everyone to reach the finish line.

The 2016 edition already mark the seventh edition of the event, which has grown since the first edition in 2010, with a number of participants which has doubled. With runners, volunteers, organizers and local people, more than 5,000 people will do of this edition a great festival of sport in Ponferrada.

Techni'trail Tiranges / France

The Techni'trail Tiranges is an authentic trail. After fifteen years of existence, the event is well-known, both in terms of its difficulty and friendliness ! Over the editions, the "big names" of trail running have ran with normal runners. Among them, have been on the starting line Dawa Sherpa, Sylvain Court, Antoine Guillon, Vincent Delebarre, Virginia Govigon, Pascal White ... and many others.

The Techni'trail Tiranges offers 4 races to participants, from a 14 Km to a 80 km (including 5,000 meters of D+), to discover the volcanic plateaus of the Ance and Andrable valleys.
