The Grand Circle Trail Series

You might be sure the Vacation Races organizer offers environmentally sustainable destination trail races in unforgettable locations.

The races are organizing in two great regions in the USA, the "Grand Circle" of the West and California's Redwoods area. Each event in The Grand Circle Trail Series is unique from the others due to the fantastic geological diversity in the region. This area has the highest concentration of national parks in the country as well as tribal parks, national monuments, and wilderness areas that are every bit as amazing.

The organizers know that the races in this series are unique for most runners because it can be the only time that they visit these breathtaking areas. Their biggest desire is that, besides attending the event, runners will have experienced what the region has to offer. In each of these races, even a 100-mile course can only capture a portion of these unique areas. They are hoping that runners will have a chance to explore the heart of the national parks, walk through the canyons, see incredible overlooks that are not part of the racecourse. Most often, these spectacular areas are protecting as part of national parks or wilderness areas where races are not permitted. These are usually the areas most frequented by tourists and places that runners must-see while they're visiting. The organizer hope that through a more in-depth exploration of the region, runners will become more connected to the local landscape and will better understand the need to protect them.
