Alvi Trail Liguria 2018 - Italia

The Alvi Trail Liguria, from June 9th to June 16th, is a race in eight stages: it’s 400 km long with a 17,000 meters vertical gain. The route is amazing, often technical but always safe. All finishers will grant 6 ITRA points with the Alvi Trail Liguria race. It will take place along the wonderful paths of the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri; in the mountains, but with the sea nearby.
Runners will cover long distances each day but they will also be able to rest at the end of each stage, and so comfortably manage their effort. Obviously, this long Ligurian trail is ideal for those seeking a challenge in long distance ultra trail running.

Pancharevo Trail Marathon: Bulgaria

The Pancharevo Trail Marathon will take place in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria on April 22nd. It is a 41.9 km race with a vertical climb of 1,480 meters. All finishers will be given 2 ITRA points. This race offers picturesque views of Sofia and its surrounding mountains and lakes. Runners will enjoy amazing landscape views and they will probably find some mud and puddles on their way to make it an occasion they will never forget.

KTR - Campos Do Jordão – Brazil

The Kailash Trail Run (KTR) organizes Campos Do Jordão race on April 21st in Brazil. This race is composed by different technical paths and breathtaking scenery. Runners will run 40.8 km with 3,060m vertical gain. They will pass through amazing forests, climb hills and they will push themselves beyond the limit in natural surroundings. For young adventurers, there are three other races to choose from: 21 km, 12 km and 6 km.

Global Limits – The last Secret: Bhutan

Have you ever run in the happiest country on earth? Bhutan is the only country in the world that measures the progress of society in terms of “Gross National Happiness”. The Last Secret is a race with 6 stages. It starts on May 27th 2018 to June 1st!  Runners will discover the charm and magic of one of the world’s most secret countries. Participants will wonder at amazing countryside, run through evergreen prime forest, pass by beautiful monasteries and immerse themselves in traditional Buddhist culture. They must be prepared to run 6 distances in 6 days.

The Last Secret

The race will start at the wonderfully situated Punakha Dzong, regarded as one of the most beautiful dzong in Bhutan. Participants will run through rural villages and cross over three 3,500m passes. On their way, they will find farmhouses more than a hundred years old and a monastery at 3,500m with small cells where young monks live. The race will finish at one of the most spectacular and mystic monastery, hanging over the cliffs at an altitude of 3,000m with an outstanding view of the Paro valley, the Taktshang Goemba, also known as "The Tiger’s Nest". 
All finishers will get 4 ITRA points.

Wilsons Prom 100 – Australia

Wilsons Prom 100 race will take place on May 5th, 2018. Wilsons Promontory National Park offers one of the most Australia’s spectacular coastal ultra. Runners will marvel at the sound of waves crashing on rocks, they will feel the sand under their feet, the wind in their hair and the water up to their waist as they tackle this wilderness paradise. The Wilsons Prom 100 offers to runners 97.2 km run loops with 3,000m vertical gain at only 3.5 hours from Melbourne. Finishers will get 4 ITRA points.

Chicamocha – Canyon Race: Colombia

The Chicamocha Canyon Race from June 1st to June 3rd is held for the sixth consecutive year at Santander in Colombia. Five races are proposed to runners:
  • 100 Miles: 164.6 km with 7,090m D+ = 6 Points ITRA 
  • 113.8 km with 4510m D+ = 5 ITRA points 
  • 73.2 km with 2800m D+ = 4 ITRA points 
  • 45.5 km with 2190 m D+ = 2 ITRA points 
  • 23.4 km with 1480m D+ = 1 ITRA points 
The Chicamocha Grand Canyon, the Chicamocha National Park, San Gil Capital of Adventure Sports in Colombia and 9 other municipalities, will be at the heart of the event in 2018.
The race consists of running through the mountains, along paths, secondary roads, across streams and over old bridges, with great ascents and technical descents. Participants will challenge themselves to run long distances with an important vertical climb.
