About the Race

Súlur er 28,8 km fjallahlaup með 2050 m hækkun þar sem hlaupið er frá Kjarnaskógi að Fálkafelli upp á bæjarfjallið Súlur, niður fjallið sömu leið og endað í miðbænum. Hlaupið er á mjúkum skógarstígum, malarbornum stígum, yfir klappir og síðasta spölinn á malbiki.

Súlur is a 28.8 km mountain run with 2050 meters elevation gain. The race starts in the forest Kjarnaskógur, from there runners run over the hills above Fálkafell and up the mountain Súlur. Then the same way back down the mountain and all the way to Akureyri city center. Fast and runnable course and some rocky paths.
