ITRA

Born in July 2013, the ITRA (International Trail Running Association) aims to give a voice to parties involved in trail running in order to promote its strong values, its diversity, the safety of races and the health of runners, as well as to further the development of trail running and ensure a constructive dialogue between the national and international bodies with an interest in the sport.

Article 5: Recognition of National Trail Running Associations

 

As an international non-profit organisation dedicated to the advancement of trail running worldwide, ITRA plays a key role in recognising associations committed to the development of trail running at a national level.

Article 5 of the ITRA Statutes outlines the principles for certifying such organisations, emphasising that only one association from each country can receive ITRA certification. The following Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) serves as a formal agreement between ITRA and national associations, solidifying their collaboration and defining the terms of certification under Article 5.
