Esino Sky Race 2021

Caro/a Sky Runner, nel 2021 la nostra Esino SkyRace compirà otto anni e, sebbene il periodo storico attuale non consenta grandi celebrazioni, questo compleanno fornirà ugualmente il pretesto per correre insieme su un tracciato ormai celebre e rinomato per i suoi caratteristici panorami e per le sue avvincenti difficoltà tecniche. Stiamo già lavorando per individuare la formula migliore per garantire sicurezza, agonismo e tanto divertimento a tutti i partecipanti della prossima edizione. Il percorso di gara non subirà variazioni: la vista a 360° delle montagne lariane e il panorama offerto dai sentieri che percorrono le pendici della Grigna settentrionale sarà, come sempre, inimitabile. Con un percorso di 27km e 2000m di dislivello positivo, la gara attraverserà gli antichi vicoli del centro abitato e si inerpicherà lungo le ripide creste dei Pizzi di Parlasco. Una traccia irta, tecnica e selvaggia accompagnerà gli atleti fino alla metà della gara, in località Cainallo, dove verrà assegnato un premio al miglior intertempo. I panorami sul lago di Como e sulla Valsassina appagheranno gli occhi di tutti i concorrenti e faranno pesare un po' meno la fatica delle gambe. Successivamente si affronterà il tratto in salita che conduce alla bocchetta di Piancaformia e alla discesa che lancerà la picchiata verso la porta di Prada, celeberrimo simbolo del Grignone. Le salite termineranno con l'ascesa al monte Pilastro e il collegamento verso il monte Croce, un tratto verticale di 200m che metterà a durissima prova la resistenza anche dei muscoli più allenati. Verrà assegnato un ulteriore premio all'atleta più veloce nel percorrere la discesa dal Monte Croce fino al traguardo, un buono stimolo per mantenere alto il ritmo di corsa. Per i meno audaci sarà possibile partecipare alla Esino Sprint Race, una corsa più corta ma da affrontare tutta d'un fiato. Sarà un assaggio più dolce dei sentieri che offre questa meravigliosa località, con scorci imperdibili sul Lario e sulle sue montagne. Come sempre, Esino Lario, ci tiene a intrattenere al meglio i suoi visitatori e anche quest'anno ha chiesto ai suoi speaker di portare la festa a livelli esorbitanti. Il villaggio gara sarà dotato dei presidi di protezione necessari al mantenimento della sicurezza collettiva e individuale per ogni atleta e per i suoi eventuali accompagnatori. Non sarà tuttavia possibile garantire il servizio doccia e quello di ristorazione che, non essendo gestibile da parte di Esino Skyrace, dovrà ricadere sull' autonomia personale di ogni partecipante. Dear Sky Runner, in 2021 our Esino SkyRace will be eight years old and, although the current historical period does not allow for great celebrations, this birthday will also provide the pretext to run together on a track that is now famous and renowned for its characteristic panoramas and its exciting technical difficulties. We are already working to identify the best formula to guarantee safety, competition and lots of fun for all the participants of the next edition. The race course will not undergo any changes: the 360 ??° view of the Larian mountains and the panorama offered by the paths that run along the slopes of the northern Grigna will be, as always, inimitable. With a distance of 27km and 2000m of positive difference in height, the race will cross the ancient alleys of the inhabited center and will climb along the steep ridges of the Pizzi di Parlasco. A rugged, technical and wild track will accompany the athletes until the middle of the race, in the locality of Cainallo, where a prize will be awarded to the best intermediate time. The views of Lake Como and Valsassina will satisfy the eyes of all competitors and make the fatigue of the legs weigh a little less. Then we will tackle the uphill stretch that leads to the Piancaformia nozzle and the descent that will launch the swoop towards the Prada gate, the famous symbol of Grignone. The climbs will end with the ascent to Mount Pilastro and the connection to Mount Croce, a vertical stretch of 200m that will test the endurance of even the most trained muscles. An additional prize will be awarded to the fastest athlete in the descent from Monte Croce to the finish line, a good incentive to keep the running pace high. For the less daring it will be possible to participate in the Esino Sprint Race, a shorter race but to be tackled in one breath. It will be a sweeter taste of the paths that this wonderful location offers, with unmissable views of the Lario and its mountains. As always, Esino Lario is keen to entertain his visitors in the best possible way and this year too he asked his speakers to take the party to exorbitant levels. The competition village will be equipped with the necessary protection devices to maintain collective and individual safety for each athlete and any accompanying persons. However, it will not be possible to guarantee the shower and catering service which, not being manageable by Esino Skyrace, will have to fall on the personal autonomy of each participant.
