The Maverick Jurassic 100km Ultra 2024 SATURDAY 19 OCTOBER 2024 | CORFE Set in the home of Maverick Race, we are excited to offer you our first 100km race! The Jurassic 100km Ultra has four trail routes that will take you on an invigorating adventure around the Isle of Purbeck and along part of the 95-mile stretch of the famous Jurassic Coast. The most epic event, the 100km, starts at Hardy Monument and follows the South Dorset Ridgeway to Osmington where it picks up the infamous South West Coast Path. You'll pass stunning views of multiple Jurassic Coast Bays. Marvel at the centuries old rock formations of Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove, whilst battling some punchy elevation. Our 100km route then picks up the Long route from Corfe so you will get to enjoy all the marvels within our 54km route aswell! Our Long, Middle & Short routes start just outside the picturesque village of Corfe Castle, where you’ll then run steadily across marshland gradually making your way towards the coast. The Middle & Long routes will pass the epic Old Harrys Rocks and traverse along coastal ridge-lines via the Purbeck Way. Our Long route will take you right down to the tip of the Purbecks past Winspit Quarry, before reaching the notorious steps at St. Aldhelms Head. You'll cruise along the Hardy Way and catch a glimpse of Corfe Castle as you descend across Knowle Hill. The finish line is nearing and you can almost hear the sound of the Maverick cowbells ringing you home... We are so excited to welcome you to where Maverick Race all started and the trails that inspired us to get outdoors and start exploring. We can’t wait to share our favourite paths, hills and views with you, knowing you’ll be stunned and challenged in equal measure. Whether you are brand new to trail running or have run many times before with four distances to choose from there is something for all levels. Please note, there is no outpost on the Short route. There aren’t views in the UK quite like the Jurassic coast and no-one does trail running events quite like us, so join us in October, you won’t want to miss out. Why not make a weekend of it and camp at the start/finish location? Check out Burnbake Forest Lodges & camping here; https://www.burnbake.com/ Please note the 100km Ultra route is excluded from all promotional offers and discount codes.
