Starting at St John’s Town of Dalry, home of the Covenanter’s Burning Bush; the remarkable forests and valleys and the majestic mountains of Southern Scotland await. The race takes in the Striding Arches of Benbrake, the Covenant’s memorial at Allan’s Cairn, the town of Sanquhar, and the highest village in Scotland, Wanlockhead, surrounded by its wonderful scenery with the ascent of Lowther Hill (701m) looming, amongst many other amazing sights.
