Das Barrhorn ist mit 3'610m der höchste Alpengipfel Europas, der sich ohne Hochalpinausrüstung als Wanderung bewältigen lässt. Noch dazu ist der Berg ein Aussichtsgipfel der Extraklasse: Das Panorama umfasst eine ganze Kaskade von Viertausendern, darunter die Mischabel- Kette und die Monte Rosa- Kette der Walliser Alpen. Zudem ist Barrhorn.ch das einzige 3000 Höhenmeter Rennen in Europa. Der Start befindet sich in Turtmann auf 620m und mit weit über 95% Trail- Anteil kommt ihr durch Wälder, neben Bächen ins wildromantische Turtmanntal und zum Schluss begleitet von 3 Gletschern, dem Bishorn und Weisshorn zum Gipfel. Ein Start von Blüomatt auf 1840m ist ebenso möglich, wie die Aufteilung des Laufes als Team oder die gesamte Strecke ohne Druck einer Rangliste und mit mehr Zeit Reserven als Wanderer. At 3,610m, the Barrhorn is the highest Alpine peak in Europe that can be hiked without high-alpine equipment. What's more, the mountain is a top-class vantage point: the panorama encompasses a whole cascade of four-thousand-metre peaks, including the Mischabel and Monte Rosa ranges of the Valais Alps. In addition, Barrhorn.ch is the only 3000-metre altitude race in Europe. The start is in Turtmann at 620m and with more than 95% of the trail you come through forests, next to streams into the wild romantic Turtmann valley and finally accompanied by 3 glaciers, the Bishorn and Weisshorn to the summit. A start from Blüomatt at 1840m is just as possible as splitting the run as a team or doing the entire route without the pressure of a ranking list and with more time reserves as a hiker.
