One of best preserved in Poland, this huge forest complex of 126 thousand hectares bends like a crescent to the north and east of Bialystok. Home to Poland’s second-largest landscape park, the forest features 21 exceptional reserves. These coniferous woodlands, or simply put the taiga, are boreal forests typical of Alaska, Siberia, Scandinavia or Kamchatka. There is no other such place in Poland.
