Na Podlasiu od wieków przenikały się kultury i religie, zmieniały się granice państw. Od końca XIV wieku wiodła tędy główna magistrala państwowa czyli trakt, którym podróżowali królowie z dynastii Jagiellonów między dwoma stolicami – Wilnem i Krakowem. Podlasie ma w sobie magię. Bliskość przyrody, piękne krajobrazy, ciekawe zabytki, cisza i spokój. Odkrywanie mało znanych miejsc i smaków kuchni regionalnej dostarczy wielu emocji i wrażeń. Bogactwo krajobrazu i przyrody, niezwykła historia, tradycja i różnorodność zaklęta w puszczańskich wsiach, przydrożnych kapliczkach czyni to miejsce magicznym i wyjątkowym. Ścieżki powiodą Was przez obszary, których się tu nie spodziewaliście. Jedną z pamiątek jaką pozostawił po sobie lodowiec, jest ciąg wyniesień, o długości 23 km, przypominający ogromny wał – Wzgórza Świętojańskie ciągnące się od Supraśla po Gródek. 60 metrowe różnice wysokości, duże stromizny mogą być dużym zaskoczeniem. Bison Ultra-Trail® 70 to start z urokliwego Supraśla i bardzo urozmaicona trasa po ostępach puszczy z ostrymi podejściami i zbiegami. Po drodze małe wsie z tradycyjną, przepiękną zabudową drewnianą. Trasa prowadzi przez Królowy Most, gdzie według legendy zatrzymał się Zygmunt August. Wówczas to ponoć w ciągu jednej nocy zbudowano most na rzece Płosce. W okolicy wsi miały miejsca bitwy w latach: 1807, 1831 i 1863. We wsi nagrano kilka scen do filmów Jacka Bromskiego U Pana Boga za piecem, U Pana Boga w ogródku oraz U Pana Boga za miedzą.

Located on the borderland, Podlaskie has for ages been the crossing point for many cultures and religions. Since late 14th century, the Knyszyn Primaeval Forest had been crossed by the King’s Route, which linked Cracow and Vilnius, the two capitals of the Jagiellonian Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.  The region is pure magic. Immersed in pristine nature, dazzling with stunning vistas, dotted with interesting landmarks and inviting with its peaceful slow life. Here you can indulge in the pure joy of discovering traces of eventful past, hidden gems of local architecture and flavours of the region’s excellent cuisine. Spectacular scenery, diverse nature, remarkable history, as well as a wealth of heritage enchanted in mid-forest villages and roadside shrines. This is what makes this place magical and unique. The race course will lead you through unexpected nooks and crannies of the forest. One of its astonishing features are the post-glacial hills of St. John. This 23-kilometre-long hill range stretches from Supraśl to Gródek and is well-known for its steep slopes and elevation changes of 60 metres, which may prove quite challenging.  Bison Ultra-Trail® 70 starts in the charming town of Supraśl and continues up and down through the wilderness of a primaeval forest. The route also visits a number of quaint villages with traditional, meticulously ornamented wooden houses. One of them is Królowy Most, where, as legend has it, King Sigismund II Augustus once stopped to rest while travelling through the area. It is believed that especially for him the locals built a bridge on the Płoska River overnight. There were also several battles fought in the vicinity of Królowy Most in 1807, 1831 and 1863. The village was also the setting for a series of popular film comedies by Jacek Bromski depicting everyday life of a Polish small countryside town.
