The Marovatana Trail is a 30.2 km mountain sport hike with 1,172 meters of elevation gain, starting from Ambohimanga (Ambatomitsangana gate) in Ambohitsimeloka. This event – reserved for people aged 18 or over, trained and in good physical condition – takes place in one stage, at a free pace within the limits of a time barrier, and the start will be given at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday Novembre 24, 2024.
Le Trail Marovatana est une randonnée sportive de montagne de 30,2 km avec 1 172 mètres de dénivelé positif, partant d’Ambohimanga (porte d’Ambatomitsangana) à Ambohitsimeloka. Cette épreuve – réservée aux personnes de 18 ans minimum, entraînées et en bonne condition physique – se déroule en une étape, à allure libre dans les limites toutefois d’une barrière horaire et dont le départ sera donné à 06h30 le dimanche 24 novembre 2024.
Born in July 2013, the ITRA (International Trail Running Association) aims to give a voice to parties involved in trail running in order to promote its strong values, its diversity, the safety of races and the health of runners, as well as to further the development of trail running and ensure a constructive dialogue between the national and international bodies with an interest in the sport.
