El municipio de Alcaucín, acogerá la segunda Trail Axarquía Alcaucín, dicho municipio se encuentra al norte de Axarquía, lindando con la provincia de Granada, se extiende entre la imponente Sierra de Tejeda, el agreste Boquete de Zafarraya, paso natural entre la costa y la zona del interior y el corredor de Periana, donde la orografía tiende a suavizarse. Alcaucín reúne los más variados y sorprendentes accidentes geográficos, lo que le proporciona una riqueza paisajística muy llamativa.
The municipality of Alcaucín, will host the second Trail Axarquía Alcaucín, the municipality is located north of Axarquía, bordering the province of Granada, stretches between the imposing Sierra de Tejeda , the rugged Boquete de Zafarraya , natural step between the coast and the inland area and the corridor of Periana, where the topography tends to soften. Born in July 2013, the ITRA (International Trail Running Association) aims to give a voice to parties involved in trail running in order to promote its strong values, its diversity, the safety of races and the health of runners, as well as to further the development of trail running and ensure a constructive dialogue between the national and international bodies with an interest in the sport.
