This place is known as a beautiful boutique tourism destination for hikers and families who want to catch a glimpse of orangutans residing in the legendary forest in MountLeuser National Park with its highest peak at 3,404 m.

About the Race

Running in Bukit Lawang has the LEGENDARY FOREST OF SUMATRA a heritage of tropical rain forest, home to the endemic Orangutan. The entire route dominated by forest trails takes place in Gunung Leuser National Park, one of the last true paradises on earth, which stretches between the provinces of North Sumatra and Aceh with the highest point being Mount Leuser which reaches 3,466 meters. Runners will cross clean and cool rivers, challenging tracks and enjoy beautiful natural scenery.
