L'évènement phare du calendrier de trail local. Commençant à Pétrin sur la Plaine Champagne, 5km de sentiers boueuses, puis une descente brutale sur le sentier mythique de Parakeet. Les singletracks vers le pic de Brise Fer (600m) mène sur la lac de Mare Longue, plat et rapide, puis une descente/montée dans la Mare aux Joncs, suivi par le défi du parcours - 4km de Brisée Le Roi - une descente raide et montée verticale, et l'arrivée de Pétrin - bonne course!
A tough course on mostly technical singletracks, all in the Black River National Park. However, there are some flat stretches on wider tracks, which allow some hard running. The trails starts with 5 km of undulating, muddy paths, leading to the highest point of the central plateau (at 750m asl), then a brutal descent down to the Black River (about 100m asl) and up again to Brise Fer peak and wet, muddy forest paths. A 5km flat run around the lake leading back into a valley and climb and then out into a recently-cut valley path, Brisée Le Roi, with a 4km extremely steep descent to the river and back to the finish at Pétrin.
