屏边大围山越野赛创办于2019年，在屏边县委、县人民政府的大力支持下，获得了良好的赛事口碑和社会声誉，2021年屏边大围山越野赛被评为云南省体育旅游精品赛事（省级）。赛道以土路为主，植被覆盖率90%以上，路面丰富且具有代表性，其中有石板路、山石路、沙石混合路面、台阶、吊桥、水道、机耕路。
