The Duval Dam Buster Trail Run (DDB) is held near Armidale in the state of NSW, Australia's own New England High Country. Starting at 1000m above sea level, competitors in the 16km, 32km and 50km events will climb to the beautifully forested summit of Mt Duval (1400m), the highest point in the region.
Starting from the Dumaresq Dam Recreation Area, near Armidale NSW, competitors will follow fire trails and single tracks to access the Summit Trail to the top of Mt Duval, before joining a loop track down the hill to the local university farm property, Newholme. The course follows farm and country roads on the outskirts of Armidale for some scenic views looking back towards Mt Duval, competitors will rejoin the university farm property and follow a single track to climb up Mt Duval from the 'other' side before rejoining the track back to Dumaresq Dam. With some tough climbs and varied terrain, the DDB 50km event is challenging but not impossible!
