On February 8th 2020, the first edition of EcoTrail® AlUla, a trail-running event considered as a new offer for the Winter at Tantora Festival in Al-Ula, will allow people to discover Al-Ula and its surroundings, via several distances respecting the concept specifications · 83km (Trail running) · 45km (Trail running) · 10km (Trail running and Hiking) The creation of EcoTrail® AlUla will be a unique experience to invite people to visit the city during the week of the event on February 2020 thanks to an international brand, active in different countries & continents. Sport events generate important values such as team spirit, solidarity, tolerance and fair play, contributing to personal development. This event is a perfect chance to associate AlUla city to these values. EcoTrail® in AlUla will be a great destination for runners gathered around an eco-friendly event and atmosphere. EcoTrail values are: eco-responsibility, close to nature and accessible to all, highlighting the cultural and natural character of the territory, respecting nature and promoting Trail-Running.
Born in July 2013, the ITRA (International Trail Running Association) aims to give a voice to parties involved in trail running in order to promote its strong values, its diversity, the safety of races and the health of runners, as well as to further the development of trail running and ensure a constructive dialogue between the national and international bodies with an interest in the sport.
