The Great Southern Endurance Run is one of the most rugged and picturesque mountain trail runs in Australia. Starting and finishing in the small mountain village of Harrietville, runners venture into the mountains, summiting peaks with views that last for days, experiencing sections of the iconic Australian Alps Walking Track within the Victoria
Starting in the Village Square of Mt Buller Ski Resort – the Great Southern Endurance Run will pit runners against some of the best mountain trails in Australia on their way to a finish Lake Cobbler, Victoria.
Born in July 2013, the ITRA (International Trail Running Association) aims to give a voice to parties involved in trail running in order to promote its strong values, its diversity, the safety of races and the health of runners, as well as to further the development of trail running and ensure a constructive dialogue between the national and international bodies with an interest in the sport.
