Gexian Mountain, a fantastic place to explore. The drift of the glaciers 100 million years ago powerfully shaped the peaks here, making it a unique and beautiful geology park. You will see the strange peaks, weird rocks, karst caves, bamboo sea, forests, streams and cascades. In the very autumn, the 2500-year-old ginkgo tree is crowned with golden leaves. The Gexian Taoist temple, Baotai temple, Yunju Tower, along with the story of how Ge Gui became immortal, and the famous article inspired here and written by Wangbo, all demonstrate that Gexian Mountain is a amazing place for both natural beauty, historical profoundness and cultural richness. That’s why we call it “Immortal H-Soil” in Chinese. In this race, the longest distance is 42k, plus the elevation gain of 3200m, making it very challenging for the runners.
