About the Race

Out and back course; starting fast and flat enough on some bike paths until you hit the climbs and stairs in Tugun Hill Conservation Area. Another short clip on the bike paths underneath the freeway and across to the famed 'Buffer Track'; the agricultural buffer zone between NSW and Qld; other wise known as the 'Border Trail'. Following the fence-line is easy enough to navigate, but that's the only part that's easy - as it undulates along the border, rolling hills, short punchy hills, steep pinches, long grinds - but hey; it's out and back and what goes up, must come down! Great camaraderie out and course as you pass each other on the return journey! Good trail and good people; a great, albeit testing, trail race!
