Kangas Mountain 2024

Un recorrido de 33 kilómetros en media Montaña con un desnivel acumulado de casi 4.000 metros por pistas forestales, monte raso y cortafuegos hace las delicias de los amantes del trail running y sirve de primera piedra de toque en el calendario asturiano de carreras de montaña. Con salida desde el centro de Cangas de Onís, el recorrido lleva a los participantes al Pico del Arbolín para regresar a Cangas de Onís cruzando el río Sella por el mítico Puente Romano antes de dirigirse hacia la segunda gran cima del día: el Colláu L´Andrin. Tras descender, de nuevo toca cruzar el río Sella y remontar el Dobra por su orilla izquierda antes de afrontar la tercera, y más dura, ascensión del día. Al alcanzar la cima del alto de Següenco, los corredores afrontarán la esperada bajada hacia la meta de Cangas de Onís.

A 33-kilometer route in the middle of the mountain with a cumulative elevation gain of almost 4,000 meters through forest trails, open mountains and firebreaks delights trail running lovers and serves as the first touchstone in the Asturian mountain racing calendar. Departing from the center of Cangas de Onís, the route takes participants to Pico del Arbolín to return to Cangas de Onís crossing the Sella River over the mythical Roman Bridge before heading towards the second great peak of the day: Colláu L´ Andrin. After descending, it is once again necessary to cross the Sella River and climb the Dobra along its left bank before facing the third, and hardest, ascent of the day. Upon reaching the top of the Següenco peak, the runners will face the expected descent towards the finish line of Cangas de Onís.
