La Thuile Trail - Memorial Edo Camardella 2023

L' ULTRA di circa 70 km con dislivello positivo di circa 4000 metri, si terrà sabato 27 luglio 2024 con partenza alle 5.00 dal centro del paese. La prima parte del tracciato segue il percorso panoramico e ormai collaudato del trail da 25 km. I concorrenti passeranno attraverso il traguardo della 25 km in paese dove saranno accolti dal caloroso tifo della popolazione e dei turisti, per poi continuare attraverso il vallone di Youla e proseguire aggirando il Mont Nix. Una lunga diagonale porterà i corridori in quota al Colle del Berrio Blanc, dove il percorso si snoda lungo una spettacolare cresta con vista sul Monte Bianco. Una volta goduto del panorama al Col Chavanne, sentieri incantevoli e inesplorati conducono al Colle di Bassa Serra e, dopo aver lambito i pittoreschi laghi Tormotta e Verney, al Colle del Piccolo San Bernardo. La lunga discesa finale riporta i concorrenti a La Thuile, passando per il Principato del Riondet e i boschi delle piste da sci.

The ULTRA of approx. 70 km with a positive elevation gain of 4,000 meters will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024, starting at 5 a.m. from the town center. The first part of the course follows the scenic and well-tested route of the 25km trail. The runners will pass through the 25km finish line in the village where they will be greeted by the warm cheers of the locals and tourists, and then continue through the valley of Youla and continue passing by Mont Nix. A long diagonal will take the runners up to the Berrio Blanc Col, where the route winds along a spectacular ridge with views across to Mont Blanc. After enjoying the views at Col Chavanne, wild and unexplored trails lead to the Colle di Bassa Serra and, after passing the picturesque Lake Tormotta, to the Col du Petit St. Bernard. The long final descent takes competitors back to La Thuile, passing through Riondet and the forests of the ski slopes.
