Ganz nach dem Claim "From City To Peak" wird in der Stadt Innsbruck gestartet und nach 6,7 km und 1332 hm läuft man auf der Seegrube ins Ziel mit atemberaubender Aussicht auf Innsbruck.
With the Nordkette Vertical Run, the running format that has been so long awaited is finally coming to Innsbruck. The Nordkette Vertical Run is unique! True to the claim "From City To Peak", the start is in the city of Innsbruck and after 6.7 km and 1332 hm you run to the finish on the Seegrube with a breathtaking view of Innsbruck.

About the Race
Die legendäre Vertical Strecke von Innsbruck auf die Seegrube. Vom Löwenhaus geht es einige Meter neben den Inn entlang, bis man ihn über den Hans-Psenner-Steg überquert und dann den mehr in der Natur liegenden Heinrich-Süß-Weg zum hinauf zum Alpenzoo und weiter auf die Hungerburg läuft. Bei der Nordkettenbahn biegt man dann wieder in die Natur ab folgt dann dem steilen Seilbahnsteig hinauf auf die Seegrube. Ein Klassiker, den es im letzten Drittel zu bewältigen gibt, ist der "Stairway to heaven".
The legendary vertical route from Innsbruck to the Seegrube. From Löwenhaus, the route runs alongside the Inn for a few metres until you cross it via the Hans-Psenner-Steg and then take the more natural Heinrich-Süß-Weg up to the Alpenzoo and on to the Hungerburg. At the Nordkettenbahn cable car, you turn back into nature and follow the steep up to the Seegrube. A classic that has to be mastered in the last third the last third is the "Stairway to heaven".
