From here runners will begin the steep climb up to Pinal Peak at 7,850' feet, transitioning from Desert Juniper to lush Pine Trees and cooler weather! Expansive views of the old Inspiration and Bluebird Mine give way to the rolling green hills of Tonto National Forest and the Pinal Mountains as you continue to climb, climb, climb! What goes up must come down, and runners will use a variety of trails and 4×4 roads as they wind down to the finish at the Globe Community Center Fields. This beautiful park has plenty of picnic tables and space to spread out and enjoy the beautiful Spring weather. With nearly 6,300' of elevation gain 6,000' of elevation loss, this race is sure to get your lungs and your quads burning!
