An adventurous 21km race up the slopes and down the valleys of the picturesque Troodos mountains on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus. Because of Covid restrictions preventing mass events like traditional races, runners have from May 10 to June 6 2021 to complete the course self-supported following the GPX track.
This is an adventurous 21km course up the slopes and down the valleys of the picturesque mountains of Cyprus, taking in the most scenic single-track trails of this forested mountainous region. There are spectacular views, with runners even able to see the Mediterranean sea far below on a clear day.
Born in July 2013, the ITRA (International Trail Running Association) aims to give a voice to parties involved in trail running in order to promote its strong values, its diversity, the safety of races and the health of runners, as well as to further the development of trail running and ensure a constructive dialogue between the national and international bodies with an interest in the sport.
