Spring Lebanon Mountain Trail race 2023

Spring Lebanon Mountain trail race will take place on May 26, 2024 in the Shouf Biosphere reserve, along the Lebanon Mountain trail track. The Shouf Biosphere Reserve is the largest natural reserve in Lebanon covering around 5% of the Lebanese territory and was designated in July 2005, with Al Shouf Cedar Nature Reserve, a “Biosphere reserve” by UNESCO. The event include 2 races with 2 different distances: - 50 Kms with 2000m elevation gain The start and finish line of both races are located in the village of Maasser El Shouf, at the center of the village. This yearly event is considered as the first and only trail race in Lebanon and will contribute to the development of a trail running community in that region, respective of the Natural Environment. W believe, that this yearly event has a positive impact on the community, through promoting physical activity, healthy lifestyle, nature respect, community engagement. It also sheds the light on the least known region in the country, contributing therefore to the development of ecotourism.
