Styrkeproven Rett Vest Extreme 60 km is a special edition race taking on August 26 - 2023. This is an extended version of the classic Styrkeproven Rett Vest 45 km race ( which also takes place on the same day ). Styrkeproven Rett Vest Extreme 60 km starts from the Bir gjenvinningstasjon in Samnanger and take the runners up to Raudvatnet and then to the summit of Raudnipa 711 m.a.s.l , offering sublime views in all directions. From Raudnipa the route continues to the popular summit of Hananipa 718 m.a.s.l also offering fantastic views. From Hananipa the trail descends towards Gullbotn where the Styrkeproven Rett Vest Extreme 60 km merges with the Styrkeproven Rett Vest 45 km and both races follow the same trail to the finish line at Kjokkelvik Skole on the western edge of the Bergen peninsula.
Born in July 2013, the ITRA (International Trail Running Association) aims to give a voice to parties involved in trail running in order to promote its strong values, its diversity, the safety of races and the health of runners, as well as to further the development of trail running and ensure a constructive dialogue between the national and international bodies with an interest in the sport.
