About the Race

The Thames Trot is a 48 mile point to point ultra marathon running from Iffley, Oxfordshire to Henley on Thames. A tough run along England’s largest river with ever changing scenery, beautiful houses and traditional rowing clubs. This is a great event with everything from tarmac paths to muddy trails. We use the Thames Path and Ridgeway National Trails – don’t forget the words “National Trail” and not just read “Thames Path”! This is an Ultra distance course that will always keep you interested and challenged. A great end the Ultra Running season. The start is approximately 3 miles south of Oxford. From the Hotel there is a short run down to Iffley lock and after crossing the river the route takes the towpath through the picturesque towns and villages to Henley. The finish is next to the railway station which provides easy access to mainline services back to Oxford.
