Three Lakes Trail 2020

Seconda edizione del Three Lakes Trail alla scoperta di luoghi incantati nella splendida e selvaggia Val Tramontina. La TLT40 e la TLT20 per gli individualisti, la TLT team, per chi vuole correre a coppie, ti faranno vivere un’esperienza senza tempo. Lungo il corso del Meduna ci si immerge nella pineta per poi salire verso il più piccolo dei tre Tramonti: Vil di Miec, che si lascia guardare dall’alto di Nuiarz e da tutte le borgate ora abbandonate, tra mulattiere, rogge e percorsi suggestivi fino al borgo di Tamar, ora sapientemente recuperato. Passato il Lago di Redona e raggiunto il secondo lago, Lago di Selva, inizia la vera avventura. Ci si addentra in un a vallata che definire selvaggia è poco. Attraverso due gallerie scavate dai costruttori delle dighe (piovose ed inquietanti) lunghe oltre 1 km si arriva all’ultimo dei tre laghi, il Lago del Ciul, all’interno del Parco delle Dolomiti Friulane dichiarate dall'Unesco Patrimonio Mondiale Naturale. Oltrepassato il borgo ancora intatto di Frassaneit, che ha visto nascere la Pitina, alzando la testa si vede l’Aquila del Frascola (roccia simbolo della Valtramontina) e dopo pochi metri si scorgono le Pozze Smeraldine, alla ribalta internazionale grazie al The Guardian. The second edition of the Three Lakes Trail is a chance to discover enchanted places in the magnificent and wild Tramontina Valley. TLT40 and TLT20 are individual trail races, while the TLT team is for those who want to run in teams of two. Both races will make you live a timeless experience. Along the Meduna River, you will run through a pine wood until you get to the smallest of the three Tramonti villages, Vil di Miec, which can be seen from the village of Nuiarz, at the top, and from all the abandoned villages nearby. You will run among mule tracks, ditches and charming paths, until reaching Tamar, a village that has been wisely recovered. However, the real adventure begins after passing the Redona Lake and reaching the second one, the Selva Lake. There you will enter a very wild valley. You will run through two 1-kilometer tunnels (rainy and creepy) built by the damns’ builders, that will lead you to the last of the three lakes, the Ciul Lake, located inside the Regional Natural Park of the Friulian Dolomites, designated by UNESCO as one of the Natural World Heritage sites. After passing the village of Frasseneit, birthplace of the pitina (a typical cold cut), if you look up, you can see the Aquila del Frascola (an eagle-shaped rock, which is the symbol of the Tramontina Valley), and after a few meters, you can also see the Pozze Smeraldine (Emerald Pools), which have become internationally famous thanks to The Guardian.
