Distance: 12km Ascent: 330 metres Descent: 330 metres Race Format: Single Day, One Direction A to B race from Derrynane Wildlife Sanctuary Car Park via the Kerry Way to Lough Currane Holiday Homes, Waterville (competitors bussed to starting line) - fastest runner wins. Race starts at 11:00 on Saturday, May 4th 2019. Finish line cut off at 16:00. Route Overview: Starting in Derrynane, this race covers tracks, trails, beaches, fields and a few bits of tarmac too. Stunning views of Derrynane, Kenmare Bay, the Beara Peninsula, Ballinskelligs Bay, the Skelligs and Waterville along the way. With fast grassy ramps, technical single track and some leg screaming and lung busting climbs to challenge runners of all standards. Entry: Cost of entry is €40. Entry fee is non refundable and non transferable. Full race day instructions will be emailed to entrants a minimum of 4 weeks before race day. Included in entry fee: Electronic Timing. Public liability insurance. Bus transfers (if requested). Wilderness first responder assistance. Free parking. Fully way marked route. Branded finishers souvenirs. Finish line food and refreshments.
